The iron ore deposit of the Milikan deposit is located in the Jura-Qyumikan district of Khabarovsk Oblast, the upper reaches of the big Milikan River, 70 km from the port of Okhotsk. The ore reserves total 10.5 billion tons. The iron ore contains magnets and hematite. The minerals are in two forms: layered and flat. The layered ore is 900-6000 meters in diameter, 40-221 in thickness, and 350-750 meters in diameter and 60-140 meters in thickness. Two iron ore samples containing 62% iron and 63.4% fine iron ore were tested. The iron yields were 31.8% and 35.8%, and the recoveries were 70% and 73.2%.
